This was mentioned in an article on our site on Monday, but the Atlanta Falcons seem like a team to watch when it comes to possible trade destinations for Kirk Cousins this season.

So far this year, the Falcons have earned wins in two of their first three games, and the division they're in, the NFC South, appears to be up for grabs.

Atlanta head coach Arthur Smith is also in his third season with the team and the Falcons failed to make the playoffs in each of his first two years with the franchise. The pressure to get to the postseason is currently much higher for Smith this year than it has been in the past.

With all of this in mind, Atlanta might want to acquire someone like Cousins if their current starting quarterback, Desmond Ridder, continues to struggle from under center. With there being the pressure to make the playoffs, Smith will probably be less willing to just sit around and let Ridder struggle for the remainder of the season.
