Who are a few players from the last handful of years that failed to live up to the hype they had when they became a member of the Minnesota Vikings?

Over the years, the Minnesota Vikings have made a number of roster decisions that have generated a ton of excitement. Whether it be a trade, a free-agent signing, or a surprise selection in the draft, the Vikings always seem to give their fan base something to look forward to for the upcoming season.

Unfortunately, not all of these roster decisions end up turning out the way everyone had hoped they were going to when they originally happened. But that's just how things go sometimes, as even the most successful teams in the NFL make plenty of roster mistakes each year.

During the last few years, Minnesota made a number of roster moves that immediately generated a bunch of hype. Not all of these moves lived up to their hype, and since taking over, the Vikings' new regime has been doing their best to move on from players that failed to live up to the expectations they were given when they first joined the franchise.

Looking back at the last few seasons, who are some of these former Minnesota players that were never able to live up to the hype that they first had when their name was added to the team's roster?
