4 teams that could trade for Vikings RB Dalvin Cook after June 1st

The Cowboys used the franchise tag on Tony Pollard, and he is currently projected to be the lead back in the Dallas backfield. But there are plenty of questions about the Cowboys' running game heading into next season, and Dalvin Cook could be someone to add some insurance.
Pollard spent the last four seasons behind Ezekiel Elliott but finally found his way into a starting role toward the end of last year. Since coming into the league in 2019, Pollard ranks seventh among running backs (min. 100 carries) with 5.1 yards per carry.
After averaging 9.5 yards per carry and earning his first Pro Bowl selection last season, Pollard could be poised for a breakout, but he is also coming off a broken fibula. While the Cowboys have said the injury shouldn’t impact his future ability, the Cowboys would be wise to have an insurance plan.
Cook’s $14.1 million salary would be more overkill than insurance, but if there’s one team that has overpaid running backs, it's the Cowboys. Jerry Jones also loves a big game, and the idea of having Cook and Pollard team up in the backfield could be enough to get a surprising deal done.
