Anthony Barr - OLB (second stint)

Yes, we will all remember that Anthony Barr was a member of the Vikings in his career.

Barr was Mike Zimmer's first pick as the head coach in Minnesota in 2014, and he was with the team for eight seasons. He played at a high level during that run, but all good things come to an end, and he was released at the end of the 2021 season.

No one will forget Barr's first run with the Vikings, but some will eventually forget that he had a second stint with the team in 2023.

It was a shocking move that no one saw coming, but Minnesota signed Barr to their practice squad last November as their depth at linebacker became paper thin.

Barr was a free agent after spending a season with the Dallas Cowboys in 2022, and he was still unsigned more than halfway through the 2023 campaign. His addition was deemed a depth move after it was apparent Marcus Davenport wasn't coming back from his injury.

Barr eventually was called up to the active roster and he appeared in four games for the Vikings this past season. He registered one tackle in that span and even recovered a fumble.

It was far from a triumphant return, but it's always fun when a past Viking returns home, and everyone got to witness this in 2023. It's just a shame that in a few years, many won't remember Barr's time with the 2023 Vikings until they look it up on Google.
