Free agent for the Vikings to avoid No. 1
Ryan Tannehill, quarterback
The biggest question surrounding the Minnesota Vikings this offseason is whether or not Kirk Cousins will be back to be the team's quarterback in 2024. If he doesn't, the team has some options available to them.
One option is grabbing a veteran free agent, Ryan Tannehill is one of the top free agent quarterbacks available but still shouldn't be a player the Vikings have near the top of their list to take over as the Vikings' signal caller.
Tannehill wouldn't be an expensive bridge quarterback, but he isn't a long-term answer either. He will be 36 years old when the 2024 NFL season starts and shouldn't be considered to be a competitive replacement for Kirk Cousins.
Although It wouldn't cost much to bring Tannehill in, the Minnesota Vikings should be looking to the 2024 NFL Draft if they are moving on from Cousins. Tannehill could be a cheap mentor or backup, but he shouldn't be in the running to be the team's next starter.
