Shelby Harris - DT

2022 Team: Seattle Seahawks

The defensive line is easily the weakest position on the Vikings roster. They don't have any elite talent at the top and the depth behind them lacks experience and is suspect at best. The Vikings failed to address this position early in the draft, and if they truly want to make a deep run in 2023, then another body could be added.

One player who is still available and is coming off a solid season is defensive tackle Shelby Harris. He has played both right and left end in his career, providing that versatility that Brian Flores raved about in his introductory press conference. Harris racked up 44 tackles, five tackles for a loss, two sacks, and swatted down four passes for the Seahawks in 2022.

He would give the Vikings' defensive line some options if he was added. They could start him and Lowry at defensive end with Phillips in the middle. This would allow Khyriris Tonga to rotate in at nose tackle, keeping both those big men fresh.

It would also allow Esezi Otomewo and Jonathan Bullard to rotate in at defensive end and not force a second-year player or a journeyman to start.

Harris is 31 years old and not a typical Kwesi Adofo-Mensah signing. That's true, but he is still playing at a high level and could help the Vikings make a deep run if he's tossed into the rotation.
