Which players added to the Minnesota Vikings by general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah have made a big impact on the team's success in 2023?
Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has been given a lot of criticism for some of his choices since he became the general manager of the Minnesota Vikings.
Obviously, the big one is the drafting of safety Lewis Cine with a first-round pick in 2022, and that is looking more and more like a bust. In fact, his entire first draft class was panned, as few of his choices contributed much to the team during his first year with the franchise.
In addition to the 2022 draft, Adofo-Mensah also made some trades for players like wide receiver Jalen Reagor and defensive lineman Ross Blacklock that didn't work out.
His naysayers voiced that the team won 13 games a season ago because he inherited players like Justin Jefferson, Kirk Cousins, Harrison Smith, and Danielle Hunter. While those players are great, the guys he added to the team, while working with a very minimal budget, were hardly given any credit for the division win and a trip to the playoffs.
Minnesota's 2023 season has been a wild one. The team started out 0-3, but they have turned things around, and they are currently in the midst of a five-game winning streak.
The Vikings likely wouldn't be in their current situation if their general manager hadn't added multiple key players who have stepped up their game and helped make this improbable run happen.
So here are five of "Kwesi's Guys" who have been key to Minnesota's current winning streak and their success this season.
