Viking No. 2

CB Andrew Booth Jr.

Andrew Booth Jr. was drafted in the early second round by the Vikings in the 2022 NFL Draft. He didn't produce much in his first year as he was riddled with injuries and was in and out of the lineup. He ended up playing in just six games making only a dozen tackles.

Booth was injury plagued in college, which was a significant issue for him coming out of his draft. That stigma has stayed with him, and it appears to be rearing its head again this year. Booth was recently injured in practice and was seen walking off the field with a doctor.

Booth cannot afford to miss anytime. He's already falling behind on the depth chart. Akayleb Evans is clearly ahead of him and it also appears that rookie Mekhi Blackmon is taking more second and first-team reps than the former second-round pick.

If Booth's latest injury lingers and he misses multiple practices, he will enter the season as the fifth or even sixth corner on the Vikings' depth chart. If he plays sparingly there's no doubt he will get slapped with the bust label at season's end, and no one could really argue it.
