Oli Udoh - OT

It's already been said by me and a plethora of other bloggers, YouTubers, and writers, but Oli Udoh tricked us all last year. He looked great filling in at right tackle for Brian O'Neill late last season, and we all figured he finally found the spot that suits him in the NFL.

The Vikings re-signed him earlier this year, and most felt like if he had to start the first couple of weeks at right tackle in 2023, the team would be okay. Then we saw Udoh in the 2023 preseason, and he has shown that Minnesota needs to find another option.

Udoh has looked lost, confused, slow, and has been overpowered all preseason long. It would be a forgivable offense if he was going against first or even second-teamers of the opposition, but he's facing third and even fourth-stringers and is getting dominated. There's no way to sugarcoat this, Udoh isn't a rosterable talent at this point.

The sad part of it is, is that the Vikings may have no other choice than to keep him. They have no one else on the roster who has looked better and can take Udoh's spot. If they can't finagle a trade or find a better option after every other team cuts their waste, then they may be stuck with Udoh for another year.

So numbers may keep him on Minnesota's final 2023 roster, but there's no doubt he's shown he doesn't belong on it.
