5 Vikings who deserve to be cut before the 2023 season

Andrew Booth Jr. - CB
Andrew Booth Jr. has had a frustrating start to his career with the Vikings. After being a highly touted second-round pick in 2022, his rookie season was mostly lost due to injury. Fans were excited to see what he could do in 2023 fully recovered, but the outcome hasn't been great.
Booth looks like he is probably the seventh-best cornerback on Minnesota's roster. He struggles in coverage, as was made evident in the first preseason game when he was turned completely around by Seattle Seahawks undrafted rookie wide receiver Jake Bobo.
He's also missed open-field tackles and blown coverages in practice. So he isn't just labeled as injury-prone anymore. The word "bust" is starting to cover his name like a big, wet, stinky blanket.
Despite showing that he clearly should be cut, Booth is likely going to make the Vikings' final roster. He was a second-round pick of the current regime and one they moved up to get. It's highly unlikely they will give up on him after a lost year and one bad camp, but they probably should.
Booth does have plenty of talent, but it just hasn't translated to the NFL game so far. It still could, but it is looking very unlikely.
