5 Vikings who deserve to be cut before the 2023 season

Jaren Hall - QB
Yep, I'm going to pick on the young quarterback. It can be argued if that is fair or not, but this preseason has shown that Jaren Hall isn't a player the Vikings need to keep.
Yes, he has been under a ton of pressure playing behind one of the worst professional offensive lines ever assembled, but it's clear he isn't ready.
Hall did get off to a red-hot start this summer. He was making impressive throws in training camp, showing good arm strength and touch, and was rolling out of pressure while still putting the ball in tight windows. That impressive play was short-lived, as he then began to struggle.
Hall made some bad reads, threw plenty of interceptions, and began to look like a fifth-round rookie quarterback. The preseason games didn't help his case either, and though he was under a ton of duress, he still wasn't overly accurate or decisive with the ball when he needed to be.
It wasn't out of the realm of possibility that Hall could've usurped Nick Mullens on the depth chart. We've seen plenty of young quarterbacks this preseason shine, with the names of Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Tyson Bagent, and Aidan O'Connell all looking very impressive.
This isn't a knock on Hall by any means, and Minnesota should definitely look to sign him to the practice squad. Before that happens, though, he deserves to be cut because he just isn't ready to help the Vikings this season.
