5. The Saints will end the Vikings winning streak

Much like last week’s game against Atlanta, this week’s game is hard to predict for the Vikings.

The Vikings have looked like a different team and appear to be getting stronger as Jefferson works his way back from injury. But the Vikings are also banged up with T.J. Hockenson (ribs) and K.J. Osborn (concussion) joining Christian Darrisaw (groin) on the injured list early in practice.

With O’Connell hinting at Jefferson’s long-term future on the Pat McAfee show and stating that it would be “a little aggressive” for him to play next week, the Vikings might not be at full strength when they take the field on Sunday.

That could be why The Action Network listed the Saints as 2.5-point favorites on Thursday morning. With the Saints’ knack for creating turnovers, the Vikings could play into the hands of Allen’s defense and fall back to .500 ahead of a primetime game in Denver next week.

Prediction: Vikings lose 23-21
