5 recent NFL roster cuts that could interest the Vikings in 2023

Jerrod Clark - DL
Jerrod Clark is a massive man. Just how massive is he? He is 6-foot-4 and a staggering 334 pounds. Clark went undrafted this past draft cycle and he was recently cut by the Chargers. But there is still some intrigue for the former Coastal Carolina big man.
Clark is probably not going to be a three-down nose tackle, as he lacks the pass-rush ability and the overall stamina to do so, but there is no denying that he can be a serious run-stuffer. Minnesota is currently pretty thin on the defensive line, so adding another body into the mix is certainly a possibility.
Clark would likely work solely as a nose tackle, so this could be a reason to stay away from him due to his lack of versatility. However, the Vikings struggled last year against the run, and with a blitz-heavy scheme under new defensive coordinator Brain Flores, Clark's ability to eat up blockers could prove to be a worthy trait in the new-look scheme.
If Clark can potentially drop a few pounds and become a more suitable weight for his body, the potential is there for him to be a solid piece for Minnesota to look at.
Some had him graded as a fifth-round prospect coming into this year's NFL Draft, so scouts saw the potential too. Working with an aggressive defensive mind like Flores may be all Clark needs to really hit the ground running.
