The Minnesota Vikings will need to make some tough decisions on their pending free agents after the 2023 season.

Upon the arrival of general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, it was obvious that changes were going to be made to the structure and roster of the Minnesota Vikings to prepare for future success instead of overspending to compete now.

Minnesota has already parted ways with some of the longtime Vikings players despite them still being productive due to the bad contract they were playing under. Guys like Adam Thielen and Eric Kendricks have found their way to new teams.

A good GM not only has to work to create a roster that they believe can be contenders for many years but they have to figure out the vision of the previous regime and see if that goal works with the previous direction of the franchise.

Let's take a look at five players who have their current contracts expiring with the Minnesota Vikings who likely won't be returning to the team for the 2024 NFL season for one reason or another and why the team might make that decision.
