Vikings who may not be back in 2024

Greg Joseph, K

Minnesota Vikings fans will remember Greg Joseph connecting on some clutch kicks to help the team win last season, but they will also remember the misses that seemed to put the team in that situation at times.

Joseph isn't a bad kicker. However he did only make 78.8 percent of his field goal attempts last season and missed six extra point tries in 2022. On a positive note, he made every field goal try from within 40 yards,

If he struggles to find consistency on extra points and can make longer kicks on a more regular basis, he could find his time with the Vikings come to an end or at least face more serious competition in training camp and preseason.

Making changes to a special trio of holder, long snapper, and kicker is always a bit of a gamble since chemistry between the three is an important thing. But at some point, struggles get to be too much and it's time to move on.
