Greg Joseph - K

The Vikings have a love/hate relationship with kickers, and Greg Joseph has ridden the wave for the past two seasons.

Joseph only made 78.8 percent of his field goals and missed six extra points in his first season under Kevin O’Connell but somehow returned for 2023.

O’Connell’s emphasis on continuity paid off as Joseph knocked down 80 percent of his field goals and missed two of his extra points this past season, but there was still a Russian Roulette element to his game.

After making 14-of-18 attempts from 40 yards away or further during the 2021 season, Joseph has made just 18-of-31 attempts from 40 or more yards away over the past two seasons.

The struggles got worse this season when Joseph went 7-for-13 on these attempts.

Joseph is set to become a free agent next year, and it’s possible Minnesota could bring him back with another undrafted kicker to battle in training camp.

But after he was able to easily beat out undrafted rookie Jack Podlesny last summer, Vikings fans could be ready for the team to move on and try and find the next great kicker either in free agency or the draft.
