Riser No. 2

Josh Cephus - WR (UTSA)

Here's one player from the East-West Shrine Bowl who the Vikings reportedly even met with.

Josh Cephus is a big pass catcher from the University of Texas at San Antonio. The guy has great size, standing 6-foot-3 and weighing in at 190 pounds.

He's not just a lumbering target though, as Cephus possesses good overall speed and runs precise routes. He also has very sure hands and rarely drops a pass.

Minnesota could use a big-bodied receiver to add to the dynamic tandem that is Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. Cephus would be a dangerous red zone target from the start and would improve the depth of his position group.

During the East-West Shrine Bowl, Cephus hauled in a couple of balls, one of which helped convert a two-point attempt. He stood out from a talent perspective, putting an exclamation point on a great week of practice.

He does have some off-the-field issues, including multiple DWIs. He did own up to them, so hopefully, that is in his past.

If the Vikings are on the clock during the third day of this year's draft and have yet to take a wide receiver, Cephus would make a ton of sense and provide great value.
