Devontez Walker - WR (UNC)

Devontez "Tez" Walker made just about every loser list out there when it came to the 2024 Senior Bowl. Walker was an exciting prospect heading into the week with good size at 6-foo-1 and solid overall speed.

He transferred to North Carolina after spending his first couple of seasons at Kent State. He proved a trustworthy target for Drake Maye, hauling in 41 passes for 699 yards and seven touchdowns in his lone season as a Tarheel.

The excitement surrounding Walker faded pretty quickly in Mobile. Walker dropped a handful of passes during the week. He had a chance to redeem himself in the game itself but dropped a wide-open flea-flicker bomb from Bo Nix.

Hands weren't the only issue for Walker. He struggled to gain separation as his route running was sloppy, and he lacked suddenness in his cuts.

The only time he seemed to get open was when he ran straight at a defender and beat him with his flat-out speed.

Walker had an excellent chance to put himself on the map in this game and gain some ground on some other highly regarded receiving prospects. Many pass catchers did just that at the Senior Bowl, but Walker did not.
