The Minnesota Vikings will try to adapt to life without Justin Jefferson when they travel to face the Chicago Bears in Week 6.

It’s tough to be a fan of the Minnesota Vikings right now. After last week’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, a lot of the conversation has shifted to what they might do off the field as opposed to on it, and if the Vikings are to get back into contention, it starts with this week’s trip to take on the Chicago Bears.

Minnesota is 1-4, and they’ll be without Justin Jefferson after he suffered a hamstring injury late in the loss to the Chiefs. With Jefferson on injured reserve, Sunday’s game will be the first of at least four games they’ll play without their star receiver, and it could shift this season from competing for a playoff spot to accumulating assets for the future.

If the Vikings want to save their season, a trip to Chicago may be what they need. The Bears have been a dumpster fire this season, but they’ve put it together, building a big lead over the Denver Broncos in Week 4 and a convincing victory over the Washington Commanders in Week 5.

With explosive weapons such as Justin Fields and D.J. Moore, Chicago might have enough to keep up with a Jefferson-less Minnesota – even if this game turns into a shootout.

The Vikings' history in Chicago isn’t on their side, but here are five bold predictions to see if Minnesota can get back in the win column against the Bears.
