Prediction No. 4

The Vikings will lose two more fumbles

One of the biggest reasons for optimism with the Vikings is that they can’t keep fumbling at the rate they have over the first five games. But while that rate may be unsustainable, it’s also possible that the Vikings have a ball security problem.

“Anytime you have the ball in your hands, you have the whole organization in your hands,” Oliver said via The Athletic’s Jon Krawczynski. “I let the Vikings down today.”

How much do you want to bet that O’Connell wrote those words on a whiteboard at some point over the past five weeks? And how much would you guess that Oliver said those words like someone who had that phrase drilled into their head? The odds are pretty high, yet the Vikings still have a turnover problem.

No matter how hard they try, it’s possible that this is who the Vikings are, and the turnovers reflect a bigger problem that overshadows this game against the Bears.
