Bold Prediction No. 4

Travis Kelce will score two touchdowns

You may not have heard about this, but apparently Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are… friends? (Let’s go with friends.) Anyway, that news made its way to Vikings cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. this week, who told reporters that he was going to “say something” to Kelce on Sunday afternoon.

Now Murphy’s message could be something like “22” is the most underrated Swift song. Or that the “Folklore” era wasn’t his vibe. But it might not be a wise idea to kick the hornet’s nest, as Kelce has a juicy matchup against Minnesota's defense.

The Vikings have done a good job against tight ends this season outside of allowing two touchdowns to Los Angeles Chargers tight end Donald Parham Jr. this season, but they haven’t exactly faced a Murderer’s Row with Cade Otton, Dallas Goedert, and Hayden Hurst.

On top of that, Minnesota is allowing 6.3 net yards per passing attempt this season and is susceptible to the big play thanks to a 57 percent blitz rate.

While Brian Flores has noted that the Chiefs have plenty of skill players that can beat you, he also acknowledged that Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are the first weapons that come to mind. This means Mahomes could look for Kelce often and come away with a big game on Sunday afternoon.
