Second-year Vikings who could make an impact

Lewis Cine, safety

The first round draft pick of the Minnesota Vikings in 2022, safety Lewis Cine struggled to see the field during his rookie campaign due to injuries that held him to only three games played in his debut campaign.

Adding to that frustration is that Cine was only on the field for two defensive snaps in those three games of action, instead seeing action on special teams for 34 snaps, limiting his impact and visibility as a rookie.

Now healthy, Cine still isn't assured a starting role. Harrison Smith and Camryn Bynum are both slated to return for 2023 and will likely be penciled into starting slots. Despite that, the Vikings should be able to find spots to use the young Georgia standout.

It is still hard to know what the Minnesota Vikings see for the future of Lewis Cine. One thing for certain is that they need to find out what they have so they can make plans for what to do with him down the road.
