Second-year Vikings who could make an impact

Andrew Booth Jr, CB

Much like Lewis Cine, injuries kept the Minnesota Vikings from seeing a lot of action from Andrew Booth Jr. during his rookie season. He only got to play in six games in 2022 but made one start among those contests.

Booth ended his rookie season with 12 combined tackles despite playing 105 snaps on defense and 40 snaps on special teams and struggling in Ed Donatell's relaxed defensive scheme that allowed the second most yardage in the league.

A more aggressive defensive scheme under Brian Flores should help Booth to be more productive. Plus, he should be able to compete with some of the other young cornerbacks for a bigger role on defense.

If Booth can step up and have a productive second season in Minnesota, he could become an important part of the Vikings defense for many years to come. And that would be great because the franchise has struggled to find long-term solutions at the position.
