Jack Podlesny - K (Georgia)

It's not surprising the Vikings brought in a kicker to compete with Greg Joseph. Joseph was one of the lowest-ranked kickers in the league last season with a 78.8 field-goal percentage. On top of that, he only made 87 percent of his extra points. So the fact the team brought him back for a one-year deal was pretty shocking.

Minnesota brought in competition for Joseph last year with an undrafted free-agent kicker and they've done that again this year with Jack Podlesny from Georgia.

Podlesny was a pretty accurate kicker in his time at Georgia. He made 61 out of 74 career attempts, and that shakes out to 82.4 percent. His extra points have been much more consistent, as he made 98.9 percent in his Bulldog career.

Podlesny doesn't possess a booming leg like some of the other kickers who were drafted. His career long is just 53 yards, and it seems like that low 50-yard range is about as far as a team would want to attempt with him.

Joseph definitely has the undrafted rookie beat in the leg strength column, but if Podlesny can be consistent in the OTAs and training camp, then he could potentially upset the Vikings' veteran kicker.
