C.J. Coldon - CB (Oklahoma)

The Vikings signed a trio of undrafted free-agent cornerbacks. One who stands out amongst the rest is C.J. Coldon from Oklahoma. Coldon is a 5-foot-11, 185-pound corner who is very athletic.

He started his college career at Wyoming before transferring to Oklahoma as a senior. Coldon didn't hesitate to make his name known in his new town, as he had a team-high six pass breakups in 2022, to go along with 42 total tackles and four interceptions.

He's instinctive, athletic, and he isn't afraid to come up and lay a hit on a ball carrier. Coldon is an all-business type of player who takes his craft seriously. He possesses a great work ethic and will be a sponge to everything Minnesota's coaches and veterans teach him.

The Vikings kept six cornerbacks a season ago. So if they do the same, there could be one spot up for grabs in 2023. Byron Murphy, Andrew Booth Jr., Akayleb Evans, Mekhi Blackmon, and Jay Ward are all safe.

Coldon will be competing with the likes of Joejuwan Williams, Kalon Barnes, Tay Gowan, Jaylin Williams, and Najee Thompson for a roster spot. With his work ethic and passion for the game, he's got a real shot to achieve a spot on the roster.
