Winner No. 2
Kirk Cousins - QB
As the pre-draft process took place, many people believed that the Vikings would use their first-round selection on the successor to Kirk Cousins, with some believing that Minnesota would trade up for a QB.
This was not the case, though Minnesota used a fifth-round pick to take BYU QB Jaren Hall. Using a fifth on a QB is a vast difference from trading up for a future QB, giving Kirk another year to earn an extension.
Another reason that Cousins was a winner in the draft was the selection of USC WR Jordan Addison. Addison is seen by many as the most NFL-ready receiver and should fit right in as the wideout No. 2.
Kirk got himself another solid target to throw to, giving him even more of a reason to put up big numbers this year in hopes that he can secure more time with the Vikings. Whether you're team Kirk or not, he certainly came out as a winner in this year's draft.
