Unfortunately for the 2023 Minnesota Vikings, they'll have to keep some players on the 53-man roster who just aren't very good.

Minnesota Vikings Training Camp 2023 is officially underway. The team has spent months upgrading its coaching staff and roster, trying to get the best 90 players to compete for 53 spots.

The Vikings have added talent in free agency and the draft, and there will be new faces battling with the old for jobs. Some positions on the team have more talent on them than others, and some very good players could be let go because the team can only keep so many in one spot.

The flip side of that is that some other positions aren't so deep and the team may be forced to keep a less talented player to provide depth.

There are various reasons as to why a subpar performer could be kept on the roster. Maybe it is because the position just isn't talent-rich, or maybe the team has invested some capital to acquire the player or drafted them early and isn't ready to move on and admit the mistake.

Whatever the case may be, bad players are kept every year. Here are five of the worst players on the Minnesota Vikings who could actually make the final 53-man roster.
