Some of the new players in Minnesota have made a huge impact while others have struggled to be effective. Still, they have been able to come together as a unit and put the team in a position where the playoffs are possible.

Let's take a look at six players who joined the Vikings this season deserve recognition for contributions and might stick around in Minnesota where they can continue to help the franchise in the future.

Best Minnesota Vikings newcomer No. 1

Dalton Risner, offensive line

A midseason addition to the Minnesota Vikings, Dalton Risner has been excellent at left guard since being inserted into the starting lineup. Bringing Risner in allowed the team to trade Ezra Cleveland and get a draft pick for the former second-round pick.

Now, Risner is showing why he was such a good signing by helping the Minnesota offensive line protect multiple quarterbacks while the offense attempts to find their rhythm and identity at the quarterback position.
