With Dalvin Cook no longer in the future plans of the Minnesota Vikings, who are some running backs that could replace him during the upcoming 2023 season?

Finally, a decision has reportedly been made by the Minnesota Vikings when it comes to veteran running back Dalvin Cook.

On Thursday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Cook, whether he's traded or released, will no longer be a member of the Vikings after Friday. After six seasons, his time in Minnesota has come to an end.

Now the Vikings must figure out how to make up for Cook's departure. Alexander Mattison is assumed to be Minnesota's new No. 1 running back for next season, but the team might still want to add another veteran in the near future to join their offensive backfield for the 2023 campaign.

At the same time, the Vikings could also just turn to one of the lesser-experienced running backs on their roster to make up for the loss of Cook. Minnesota's current regime has drafted two running backs in the last two years, so they might as well see what their selections can do out on the field.

Who are some current members of the Vikings and some remaining free-agents that the team could turn to in 2023 to help fill the void left by Cook?
