Adrian Peterson - RB

Adrian Peterson just got done with his annual tradition of saying he still wants to play in the NFL, but his time in the league is likely already over whether he likes it or not.

The guy hasn't played a snap in the NFL since Week 13 of the 2021 season and he's approaching elderly status in the world of pro football at the current age of 38.

Teams around the league today barely have any patience for a 25-year-old running back, so the chances seem pretty low that anyone in the NFL is going to give Peterson and his gray beard a spot on their roster next season.

Peterson is a future first-ballot Pro Football Hall of Famer and a future member of the Vikings Ring of Honor. He's accomplished so much in his NFL career, and even though he might want to add a few more things to his list of accomplishments, a return to the league for him seems highly unlikely.
