Stephen Weatherly - DE

After a disappointing 2021 season that was split between the Vikings and Denver Broncos, Stephen Weatherly was hoping for a fresh start with the Cleveland Browns last year.

Unfortunately, Weatherly never got the opportunity suit up for the Browns last season after he tore his ACL during the summer. The injury prevented him from playing a single snap in 2022.

Weatherly is still only 29-years-old, so of all the former Minnesota draft picks included in this article, he probably has the best chance to continue his career in the NFL next season. However, it all depends on how well his knee has recovered, and if there are any teams interested in signing a journeyman backup pass rusher coming off of a serious knee injury.

Weatherly's first departure from the Vikings was during the 2020 offseason, and since then, he's never really been able to be as productive as he was during his first few years with Minnesota.

Will a team give him another shot to keep playing in the NFL, or have we already seen the former Vikings seventh-round pick appear in the final game of his pro career?
