6 free-agent defensive linemen the Vikings could sign in 2024

Free-Agent Defensive Lineman No. 5
Fletcher Cox
2023 Team: Philadelphia Eagles
Fletcher Cox is a name that most NFL fans know well.
The Eagles defense was not impressive, to say the least in 2023, however, Cox is still worth a good look by Minnesota this year. This past season, he had five sacks, 17 quarterback hits, 33 combined tackles, and two pass deflections.
The former 12th overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft has spent his entire career with Philadelphia, but he is due for a change of scenery.
Cox won Super Bowl LII with the franchise and he is a four-time All-Pro, a six-time Pro Bowler, and he was named to the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade Team.
In his career, the 6-foot-4, 310-pound Cox has 519 total tackles, 88 tackles for loss, 173 quarterback hits, 70 sacks, three fumble returns for a score, and 16 forced fumbles. He is a force of nature as a pass rusher and a brutal run-stopper.
Although Cox will be 33 when the 2024 season begins, the Vikings could use someone of his pedigree and leadership.
