Chase McLaughlin is the definition of a journeyman. He has been in the league since 2019 and has found his way to seven different franchises.
Bouncing around that much certainly isn't a great sign as a kicker, but this past season may have been the turning point for McLaughlin's career.
McLaughlin went 29-of-31 on the year with field goals, and he didn't miss a single one of his extra point attempts in 2023, which is something he has excelled at in his career.
McLaughlin is 121-for-123 on XPs in his career, showing that he can be relied on in that aspect, and his 2023 only bolstered his reputation as an all-around kicker.
McLaughlin has had his struggles during the beginning of his career, but the past three seasons have seen him become more and more consistent.
Maybe Minnesota will notice the trend and look to capitalize on the 28-year-old's recent ascension from an injury-replacement kicker to a reliable full-time player.
