6 free-agent kickers the Vikings could sign in 2024

Brandon McManus is yet another NFL veteran kicker who is set to hit the free-agent market. McManus just finished his first season with Jacksonville after spending his first nine years with the Denver Broncos.
Some may have questioned if the Denver altitude was what boosted his ability, so McManus put together arguably his best season in 2023 to silence any doubt.
McManus may have misleading numbers if you glance at them, as a 30-for-37 season for field goals doesn't look that great.
Five of McManus' missed kicks were from 50 yards away or further, however, so even though that doesn't give him a pass, sometimes we forget that hitting those booming kicks is hard, even for professionals.
McManus did manage to go 35-for-35 on extra points this season and didn't miss a single kick within 40 yards, showing that he is incredibly reliable in short range.
Struggling with long-range kicks isn't a great selling point, but sadly, it's nearly impossible to find a consistent long-range kicker in the free-agent market anyway.
McManus put together a solid 2023, and he's been solid ever since his first season in 2014. He's as consistent as they come, and Minnesota could do far worse than taking a chance on him.
