6 free-agent kickers the Vikings could sign in 2024
By Clay Vasquez
Kicker No. 6
Cameron Dicker
2023 Team: Los Angeles Chargers
Cameron Dicker is unlike any of the other kickers on this list. Dicker goes into this offseason as an exclusive rights free agent, which means that if the Chargers offer him a qualifying offer, he will have to accept it.
There's a good chance that Los Angeles does just that. But in the case that they look elsewhere for a kicker, Minnesota should certainly scoop Dicker up.
Dicker is by far one of the youngest kickers available in the free agency pool, and he had a stellar 2023 as well. Dicker went 31-for-33 on field goal attempts and hit all 35 extra points he attempted this past season.
The Chargers would look foolish to let Dicker walk, but with a new regime taking over, there is always the chance they don't retain him.
Dicker is a rising kicker in the NFL who has converted on 52-of-55 field goals in his brief NFL career, showing already that he's as consistent as they come.
It is more than likely a Hail Mary that Dicker won't get a qualifying offer from Los Angeles, but Minnesota certainly needs to keep a close eye on that situation and pounce if an opportunity arises.
