Free Agent No. 6

Patrick Queen - ILB

2023 Team: Baltimore Ravens

Last offseason, the Vikings were able to land a gem in Ivan Pace Jr., who signed with the team as an undrafted free agent. Pace went on to immediately grab a spot in Minnesota's starting defense and emerge as one of the top performers for the team in 2023.

This year, there's a good chance that the Vikings will let fellow inside linebacker Jordan Hicks sign with another team in free agency. To replace Hicks, Minnesota could turn their attention to free-agent linebacker Patrick Queen.

Queen was voted to the Pro Bowl Games this season after he finished with 133 tackles (nine for a loss), 10 pressures, six pass breakups, 3.5 sacks, and one interception in 17 games with the Ravens.

The Vikings should be looking to get younger on defense this offseason, and replacing a 31-year-old Hicks with a 24-year-old Queen would be a great way to do that.

Pairing the former Baltimore linebacker in the middle of Minnesota's defense with Pace would give the franchise a young linebacker duo that could potentially mirror what the Vikings once had with Anthony Barr and Eric Kendricks.

We already know Queen can play well in a purple uniform, but in a defense with Flores calling the shots in Minnesota, he might play even better in a different shade of purple.
