6 biggest non-QB needs for the Vikings in the 2024 offseason

Vikings Need No. 6
Defensive Line
It’s been a long time since the Vikings have had a difference-maker on the interior of their defensive line.
It’s already been 14 years since the tandem of Pat and Kevin Williams played their final snaps in Minnesota, and while Linval Joseph served as a nice stopgap, they haven’t been able to find an impactful interior defender since his release after the 2019 season.
The Vikings have one piece they can rely on in Harrison Phillips, and Khyris Tonga actually had a decent season while playing limited snaps.
If the Vikings go big in free agency, they could take a swing on Baltimore’s Justin Madubuike or Miami’s Christian Wilkins in free agency, or they could dive into a loaded crop of interior defenders in this year’s draft.
Whether the Vikings spend big or use a high pick on Illinois Jer’Zhan Newton or Texas’s Byron Murphy II, they’ll need to find some beef in the trenches to make life difficult for opposing quarterbacks.
