Game No. 2
Week 1 vs. San Francisco 49ers in 2018
Dalvin Cook was cruising through the first three games of his 2017 rookie year until Week 4 against Detroit when he tore his ACL. That ended his first season with 354 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, and 90 receiving yards.
Minnesota and its fans hoped Cook would return in 2018 at full strength and get the Vikings back to the postseason. The team had lost in the NFC Championship game the year before.
Cook put all fears to rest when he came back in time to start in Week 1 against San Francisco and responded with 95 total yards from scrimmage. His effort that day helped the Vikings beat the Niners by a final score of 24-16.
A balky hamstring limited Cook to 11 games and 10 starts in 2018. He finished his second NFL season with 920 combined rushing and receiving yards and four combined touchdowns.
