Defensive Prospect No. 2

Khryee Jackson - CB (Oregon)

Cornerback again remains a big need for the Vikings, and it seems like we say that every single year. The Vikings finally look like they found a good one with Mekhi Blackmon last season, and they could stand to do that again in 2024.

If they use a mid-round pick again at the position, a player they should target is Oregon's Khyree Jackson.

The first thing that sticks out about Jackson is his size. He's a mammoth 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds. Despite that size, he's got good speed, and he's expected to run in the 4.4 range at the NFL Scouting Combine.

With his god-given height and long arms, he's excellent at going up and getting the ball at its highest point. Jackson has good ball skills, even though his interception total in college doesn't reflect that.

He only mustered three interceptions at Oregon, but that's mostly because teams just elected to not throw the ball his way.

Jackson is more than willing to come up and help out in run support. Sometimes, he gives too much of a cushion in coverage, but overall, he is a very well-rounded prospect.

The Vikings could use a cornerback with some size to match up with the bigger receivers they'll go against. Jackson excels in press coverage and would do well in the isolation coverage that Brian Flores likes to deploy.
