Prospect No. 2

Quinyon Mitchell - CB (Toledo)

Every year, someone nails the entire draft process. They have a solid season, they nail the Senior Bowl practices, and then they stand out at the Combine. One guy who did that this year was Quinyon Mitchell out of Toledo.

Mitchell was arguably the best player down in Mobile for the Senior Bowl, and he looked like one of the best in attendance in Indianapolis at the Combine.

His measurables were very desirable at 6-feet and 195 pounds. He had 31-inch limbs, which is ideal for a corner who needs to get those arms up when breaking up passes. Mitchell ran a blazing 4.33 forty-yard dash and nearly leaped out of the stadium with a 38" vertical.

The only dings that scouts could give Mitchell is the fact he went against inferior competition at Toledo. The way he has stood out against some of the best in the Nation at the Senior Bowl should have quelled those concerns.

The Vikings are probably going to take a quarterback or edge rusher at pick No. 11, but if they go another route and decide to get a cornerback, Mitchell should be on the top of their list. His latest standout performance has shot him to the top of the cornerback list, and he's deserving of a top-15 pick.
