Possible Justin Jefferson Trade Destination No. 1

New England Patriots

Projected 2024 Cap Space (via Over The Cap): $66 million
Projected 2025 Cap Space: $190 million
Highest 2024 Draft Pick: 3rd overall (First Round)

You might have heard about the recent insane trade proposal shared by FS1's Colin Cowherd, in which he has the Vikings trading Justin Jefferson, this year's first-round draft pick (11th overall), and next year's first-round selection to the Patriots for the No. 3 pick in this year's NFL Draft.

That seems like a little too much to give up to move from pick No. 11 to No. 3 in this year's draft, but if Minnesota was able to possibly send over only one first-round selection from this year or 2025, a Day 2 pick from this year or 2025, and Jefferson to New England in exchange for the third overall pick, then that might be a trade package the Vikings are more willing to consider.

When it comes to the Patriots, they are one of the possible landing spots for Jefferson that could also pay him almost any amount of money that he desires.

Recently, it sounds like Minnesota's star pass-catcher wants to be not only the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL, but also the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league.

New England has something that the Vikings want, and that's the No. 3 pick in this year's NFL Draft. If Minnesota includes Jefferson in a trade offer, then the Patriots might be more willing to give the Vikings the third overall selection in the 2024 draft.
