Possible Justin Jefferson Trade Destination No. 4

Indianapolis Colts

Projected 2024 Cap Space (via Over The Cap): $58.9 million
Projected 2025 Cap Space: $149.2 million
Highest 2024 Draft Pick: 15th overall (First Round)

For the last three seasons, Michael Pittman Jr. has been the leading receiver for the Indianapolis Colts. Well, Pittman is a free agent this year, and despite Indianapolis likely being able to afford to re-sign him, there's no guarantee that he will be back with the team for the 2024 campaign.

In fact, back in January, Pittman had the following to say about entering free agency this offseason.

"I made it this far, so I've loved my four years here. But I wouldn't be doing my due diligence if I didn't explore every option and find the best fit."

That doesn't sound like a guy whose top priority during the next few months is figuring out a way to remain with the Colts, does it?

Well, Indianapolis just used the No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to select quarterback Anthony Richardson, and if Pittman signs elsewhere this year, the Colts will probably need to find another top target for Richardson to throw to in 2024.

With Indianapolis having the No. 15 pick in this year's draft, they might have to give up multiple first-round selections to acquire Justin Jefferson in a trade with the Vikings.

But if the Colts think Jefferson is a receiver who can help Richardson reach his ceiling out on the field, then almost anything they have to give up in a trade for the wide receiver would likely be worth it in the end.
