7 cornerbacks the Vikings could select in the 2023 NFL draft
By Darcy Weiss
Kelee Ringo (Georgia)
Measurements:
- Height: 6-foot-2 | Weight: 205 pounds
2022 Stats:
- 42 tackles
- 2 interceptions
- 7 passes defended
Kelee Ringo is one of the most physical cornerbacks in this draft class and also possesses exceptional athleticism and size. Ringo has been successful while traveling with opposing teams’ top bigger targets and provides strong coverage in all situations.
Ringo is anything but afraid of getting his hands dirty making tackles in the run game as well. His combination of size and speed is unlike many cornerbacks in the league, and it could make him a highly effective NFL cornerback.
The downside of his physicality is that his aggressive play leads to a lack of patience and penalties. Still, he's a very raw prospect, as he has played in just 29 college games. His potential is massive, and should be viewed as a strong option for the Vikings at the 23rd overall pick.
Ringo has among the highest ceiling of any cornerback in this 2023 draft class but will likely be a day-2 draft selection, possibly requiring a trade in order for Minnesota to draft him.
