Measurements:

  • Height: 6-foot-0 | Weight: 214 pounds

2022 Stats:

  • 25 tackles
  • 2 interceptions
  • 7 passes defended

Tyrique Stevenson is a patient, physical cornerback with great speed and tight man coverage skills. Running a 4.45 40-yard-dash, Stevenson is capable of pressing physical receivers, and running with smaller, quicker ones.

Stevenson has great acceleration while running downfield and is explosive when making plays on the ball. The Miami Hurricane is still very raw but possesses ideal size and elite athleticism.

Stevenson’s weaknesses identified by scouts include his transitions from breaking off man-coverage and is occasionally behind on recognizing plays developing. He will need to work on his play recognition and overall awareness, though he has the athletic ability and physicality needed to serve as a feisty, hard-working cornerback with good ball skills.

Stevenson is projected to be drafted as a fringe second-rounder or a solid third-round selection and could provide great value as a likely eventual NFL starter.

Due to his raw athleticism and skill set, Stevenson could be a wild card in the draft class with boom or bust potential. The Vikings could find a stud in the third round in Stevenson here.
