Jakorian Bennett (Maryland)

Measurements:

  • Height: 5-foot-11 | Weight: 200 pounds

2022 Stats:

  • 39 tackles
  • 2 interceptions
  • 11 passes defended

Jakorian Bennett is versatile and aggressive, with good size and exceptional athleticism. The Maryland product ran the second fastest 40-yard-dash in the entire combine at 4.30 seconds.

His quick burst speed allows him to shadow the fastest receivers in the league, though his hip mobility has been in question. Bennett is not shy to fight through blocks and make plays on the ball and in the run game.

Bennett has struggled with recognized route concepts but has the burning speed to offset poor positioning. His physicality, athleticism, and explosiveness should translate well to the NFL level, along with his strong football IQ.

Bennett is expected to be a day-3 draft pick, and one that could pay dividends in the coming years, should his development progress. He has the raw talent to be a successful cornerback in the NFL.
