Cam Dantzler - CB (New Orleans Saints)
It was a small surprise when the Vikings decided to waive Cam Dantzler last March, mostly since he still had one year remaining on his rookie contract. But Minnesota clearly felt they were better off without Dantzler, so they showed him the door.
After the Vikings cut him, the former third-round draft pick had stints with the Washington Commanders, Buffalo Bills, and Houston Texans prior to the start of the 2023 regular season.
In September, Dantzler signed with the New Orleans Saints, and that is the team he has stuck with during the 2023 campaign. Once a starter for Minnesota, the young cornerback has only appeared in two games for the Saints this year, and all nine of his snaps have come on special teams.
Professionally, Dantzler won't look back on 2023 fondly. But at 25-years-old, he's still young enough to salvage his career and find a team in the NFL that might actually be able to utilize him in their defense.
