Bargain Free Agent No. 2

Grover Stewart - IDL (Colts)

2023 Team: Indianapolis Colts

The Vikings could potentially save some money by targeting nose tackle Grover Stewart. Minnesota is in need of an experienced run-stopping nose tackle to bolster their defense, and Stewart fits the bill perfectly.

While his stats may not be particularly impressive, Stewart does the dirty work up front that makes life easier for his teammates.

At over 30 years old, Stewart likely only has a few years of play left in him, but if the Vikings don't sign an All-Pro level nose tackle in free agency, Stewart could be a temporary solution.

Minnesota needs a nose tackle like Stewart for Brian Flores's defense, as evidenced by some of their struggles against the run last season. To address this problem, the Vikings could consider drafting a nose tackle like T’vandre Sweat from Texas and rotating him with an experienced veteran like Stewart.

Although Stewart's production has declined with age, he shouldn't cost too much and could help improve Minnesota's defense if he maintains his level of play from the last two years.
