Bargain Free Agent No. 4

Raekwon Davis - IDL

2023 Team: Miami Dolphins

The Vikings are expected to make some big moves in free agency, and many believe that defensive tackle Christian Wilkins is a top target. Although Wilkins can play both left and right end positions in a 3-4 scheme, he may not be the best fit for the nose tackle position that the Vikings need to fill.

One solution could be to bring in Wilkins' former teammate, Raekwon Davis. While not a superstar, Davis is a solid nose tackle who can rush the passer.

As a former second-round draft pick, Davis has some familiarity with the system under Brian Flores. He could significantly improve the Vikings' defensive line.

Players like Davis don't come with a hefty price tag, but depending on the demand for a nose tackle, he could receive anywhere from $8 million to $11 million annually.

The nose tackle market is a large one, but there are few quality free agents in that position, which may lead some teams to overpay for a player such as Davis.

For the Vikings, they should probably limit their spending to around $6 million for a player like him, which seems reasonable. It's unlikely that he'll receive something in between $8 million and $11 million, but it wouldn't be surprising if he did.

If the Vikings can acquire both Davis and Wilkins, their defense should be able to compete in 2024.
