Connor Williams - IOL

2023 Team: Miami Dolphins

Connor Williams has spent most of his career as a guard, but the past two seasons with the Miami Dolphins saw a change of position for him as he transitioned to the center position.

Williams was a fine starter as a guard, but his switch to center has truly unlocked his potential, and he has thrived at the position.

The biggest risk with Williams is the fact that he tore his ACL in Week 14 of this past NFL season, putting a lot of doubt on his readiness for the 2024 campaign.

While he likely won't miss the entirety of the season, it's fair to wonder what his status will be when the season begins.

While the Vikings currently have a center under contract with Garrett Bradbury, his subpar play in 2023 was another disappointing season in the career of the former first-round pick.

Williams would be an upgrade over Bradbury, as the experiment with the undersized center from NC State has run its course in Minnesota.

Maybe Bradbury could try his hand at playing guard, but it's very apparent that he isn't cut out for center.

With Williams' major knee injury, the state of his signing price is a big question mark. He has shown to be a solid player throughout his career, but an ACL tear right before the time of contract negotiations may knock his price down.

Either way, he's a player who would be a great help to the Vikings' struggling offensive line, even if he misses part of the next season.
