Vikings Trade Target No. 2

Joey Bosa - EDGE (Los Angeles Chargers)

Joey Bosa's injury history and large contract make him a difficult trade candidate, but the Vikings may want to consider him if they can't bring back Danielle Hunter or find a suitable pass rusher in the free agency or draft this year.

Bosa's contract and health concerns make it unlikely that any team will trade for him without restructuring his deal.

The Chargers may have to release him, making him a more affordable option for the Vikings. Minnesota should consider trading, at most, a second-round pick for him if he agrees to restructure his deal.

A healthy Bosa would be a valuable addition to Minnesota's defense, which struggled to create pressure last season, outside of Hunter.

During the previous two seasons, Bosa stayed fully healthy and had double-digit sacks. In 2023, before going down in Week 8, he was sitting at 6.5 sacks and was on pace for his best season yet.

That alone should give an organization like the Vikings confidence that if they can find a way to keep him healthy, he is worth trading for.
